Tronitech Capsys Capture 2020 – Installing the Scan Service

Tronitech Capsys Capture 2020 no longer requires users to use Microsoft Internet Explorer.  Users may now scan / index using Google Chrome, or the new Microsoft Edge browsers.  In-order to scan, users will need to install the Scan Service which can be downloaded through the website. The Scan Service will need administrative rights on the PC in-order to install properly.

Please follow the instructions below to install the Scan Service.

Login to the previously provided website with your user credentials.

 

If this is your first time logging in, use your provided username and the default password.

Go to the “CAPTURE” tab and click “Create New Batch” button in the upper left corner.

When the “Create New Batch” dialog opens, you should see a link in the lower left to Download Scan Service. Click to download.

The download should appear in the lower left corner of the browser window.

 

The browser may attempt to block the download. This is normal.

Click the arrow next to the download and select “Keep”

Click the arrow next to the download again and select “Show in folder”

Right click on the Scan Setup executable and select “Run as administrator”.

 

If prompted for user credentials you will need to enter an administrator username and password to complete the installation.

Click “More info”

 

Windows may again attempt to prevent the installation. This is normal,  clicking the “More info” link will allow you to continue.

Click “Run anyway”

Click “Yes” to confirm you want to install the Scan Service.

Click “Next” to install the Scan Service.

Click “Finish” to complete the Scan Service installation.

 

Close any additional windows and return to your browser to complete and begin scanning documents.

On the “Create new Batch” dialog, click the “Refresh” button next to the Source menu.  You should now be able to select your scanner from the Source menu and begin scanning.
